The bar chart illustrates the proportion of people’s attendance of cinema during the week in one European country.
Overall, people make their choice in favor of watching films during the weekends rather than other days of the week. Hence, the fluctuations of statistics were not as significant from 2003 to 2007.
First off, the higher number of individuals visiting cinemas was on Saturday, that is over 40%. However, in 2005 this percentage had a rise by 5%, but then it diminished again. There was a significant difference between proportions during Saturday and Sunday (almost 15%). Nevertheless, activity of watching movies was still popular on Sunday. The average amount of visitors was near 32%.
People going on cinemas during workdays are far less. The lowest proportion was during days, such as Monday and Thursday, that was approximately one tenth. Tuesday and Wednesday were preferable by viewers than past two options. However, the largest proportion belonged to fifth day of the week. Significantly, the percentage remained the same at 30%, and that was almost as great as during the weekends.
