The given line chart illustrates the population ratios of 4 different countries between 1970 and 2020 with an addition of forecasted percentages until 2040. The data gathered from Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Overall, all these Asian country population percentages shows an upward trend. From the forecasted data Malaysia population is expected to be highest among others while predictions show Thailand as the country which has the lowest population.
Between the time period of 1970 and 2000 Malaysia and Indonesia steadily increased. Throughout this period Thailand shows constant increase until 1990, then it plateaus till 2000. Meanwhile, percentage of population for Philippines increase slightly for the first 10 year, and it shows a dramatical increase between 1980 and 1990. Lastly, it decreases gradually until the end of the period.
Looking at the obtained data between 2000 to 2040, generally all four counties’ population percentages increase. Furthermore, the line graph for Malaysia and Indonesia skyrocketed. While Thailand preserves its steady increase, Philippines ratios decreases until 2010. From 2010 till the end, Philippines shows around 5 percent rise in ratio.
