Overall,it is evident that Malaysia had the highest proportion of inhabitants living in the aforementioned cities throughout the given year,the lowest proportion of inhabitants were recorded in Thailand across the four cities over the given period of time.Looking at the the graph in a detailed form,it can be seen that the Philippines recorded approximately 31% of the total population in 1970 and continuously rose to about 75% in 2020 and is projected to reach 85% by 2040.On the other hand, Malaysia recorded 30% of the urban population, surpassing the Philippines by 2000 and attained 80% by 2020 with an expected increase to 90% by 2040.
In contrast, Thailand and Indonesia has the lowest proportion of the populace to be 15% and 10% in 1970 respectively.It should be noted that,Thailand population grew from 15% to about 30% in 2020.While, Indonesia population grew from 10% to 55% in 2020.
Furthermore, Malaysia is projected to have the highest populace of approximately 80%,followed by Indonesia and the Philippines with 55% and 45% respectively.
However, Thailand is expected to have the least population of about 45% by 2040.
