In 2005, the proportion of jobless young people was the highest percentage in Poland, with nearly 37%, followed by that of about 27% in Italy. The young adult unemployment rates in Hungary and Germany were nearly equal, with approximately 24% and 23% respectively. The figure for jobless young people in Denmark recorded the lowest figure at 13% among listed nations.
In terms of the overall share of the unemployed workforce, Poland was the highest proportion at 15% and was 5% lower than Germany with only 10%. In contrast, the overall unemployment rate in Denmark saw the lowest rate at 2%. Additionally, the total percentage of out-of-work people in Italy and Hungary was near similar figures, at about 7% and 6% respectively.
