The line graph illustrates the population of two countries from the year 2000 to the current time with plans for growth to the year 2050.
Overall, it is obvious that India’s population will be larger than China’s population by the time 2050.
Looking at the changes in the population thoroughly, in 2000 India’s population stood at 1 billion while people that lived in China were approximately 1,25 billion. During 2010 and 2020 both country kept rising although India strikingly increased higher than China . Furthermore it is projected that in 2030 the number of people will be equal for both countries just almost 1,45 billion. After this , India will rise gradually and by 2040 it will overtake China. However, China will decrease and by 2050 the population is going to stop at 1,4 billion. In contrast India is planning to reach the highest point about 1,6 billion by 2050.
To sum up, the major difference between the two population trends is that the number of people in China is forecast to start falling after 2030 whereas the population of India will continue to enlarge
