The provided graph throws the light on the commodity transported from 1994 to 2002 in U.K. On y axis amount is mentioned in terms of million tones and years are mentioned on x axis. It can be observed that goods transported by road had highest shear where as pipeline had lowest.
In 1974 the commodity transported by using road was almost 70 million tones it remained same till year 1982 then it had shown some increase and became almost 80 million tones and in year 2002 it touched almost 100 million tones. Water and rail were equally used in 1974 and that was almost 40million tone further use of water for transportation had increased and use of rail was decreased.
From 1978 to 1982 use of water for goods transportation was gained by almost 15 million tones and became almost 55million tones and remained same till year 1994 and by year 2002 it was 65millon tones however rail transport use was decreased and it was almost 30 million tones and again increased and touched 40million tones. On other hand pipeline was used for transportation of almost 4 million tone goods I 1974 but it showed major gain and touched almost 29 million tones and remain same till year 2002
Thus, use of road for goods transport had maximum shear and pipeline had least.
