The bar charts illustrate the average age of retired people regarding their gender in seven different countries in 2004 and 2008.
Overall, both retired men and women had no significant gap between 2004 and 2008. However, there were differences between the countries.
It is clear from the graph that the average age of men and women did not vary substantially in all countries despite Denmark. In Denmark the average age of retired men stood at approximately 62 considering both years. But the average age of retired women were lesser at around 60 compared with men. Furthermore, we can see that the average age of men and women in the UK has also slight difference stood at nearly 63 and around 61 respectively.
There are also comparisons between the countries. As we see, the countries Netherlands and Sweden were leading regarding to the genders of retired people and France and Italy were one of the lowest countries.
