Overall, it is clear that the proportion of aged population is increasing in all countries, however to a different degree. Additionally it can be seen that, the trend of United States and Sweden increasing with fluctuations, while Japan illustrates a completely different growth trend.
Initially, the highest figures of the population over 65 years in 1940 was U.S. with around (a mere of 9%), then comes Sweden with a little more than (5%) and it was then followed by Japan with only (5%).
