The presented line graph expresses the differences of three criminal acts in the heart of New York City, USA for the series of 9 years (2003-2012).
As an overall trend, in initial years, both incidental quantities of burglary and car-theft instituted greater numbers than robbery. In contrast, the robbery incidents reported under 1000, which was comparatively lower than in the former cases.
It is clear from the data in the graph that the number of burglaries was indicated at approximately 3400 in 2003, while a slight drop took place in car-theft crime incidents in the same year. In 2004, both areas of crime rose to a negligible extent, then only burglary incidents fell dramatically till 2008 with the quantities of around 1200. However, to refer back to the car-theft cases, there were moderate fluctuations from 2005 to the next three years. Furthermore, starting from around 1200 burglaries in 2008 had noticeable ups and downs for 300 incidents in each year and finished in 2012 with 1300 occurrences. Even though car-theft cases were not as high as burglary at the beginning, it ended with 1000 more incidents than that crime.
As stated in the overview, the robbery quantities initiated with 700 incidents in 2003, which was below 1000. Following that, it went up gradually to nearly 900 cases until 2005. Moreover, there was varying marginally for continuous four years with 600 incidents. From 2010 to the end year of the graph, robbery cases were vacillated around 500.
