The graph illustrates the average change in the prices of three different metals which are Copper, Nickel and Zinc within year 2014 on a monthly basis.
Overall, each type of metal revealed different trend from the others, Copper showed nearly steady changes in prices without any significant one during the whole year of 2014, Nickel affected by a dramatic decline in prices from the start to the end of the year. On the other hand, Zinc had a fluctuating changes throughout 2014.
For more details, Nickel had the highest change in prices in January more than the other metals started from 6% before it made a dramatic fall down to 1% in March and remained constant till it made another significant drop down in June with -3% before it came back to -1% in July and showed ups and downs till it reached 1% at the end of the year.
Regarding Copper, it was somehow had a small changes not too significant, started from 2% in January before falling down to 0% in June and scaled up again in July to -1% and hold being almost constant till December reaching under 2%, Meanwhile, Zinc had a fluctuating changes started from 1% in January and had many scaling ups and downs till it held a percentage of 2% in December.
