In the following years, the percentage of music sales from streams witnessed a sharp growth, especially in 2016 and 2017, revanue from streams over took CDs purchased and downloads respectively as the most popular kind of music.In contrast, sales from CDs purchased gradually decreased to 25% in 2018, whilst there was a slight surge in income from downloads which reached the highest point of approximately 42% in 2014 and then it went down steadily to about 30% in the last year.
