Overall, Using Chinese and Arabic languages showed an increase trend over the period, while both other languages saw declines . It is also obvious that the growth in number of people using in Chinese was the most significant.
In 1986, the number of individuals who use Chinese as their first language was 110.000. Following 25 years, this figure dramatically rose , reaching a peak of 350.000 in 2011. Arabic language experienced a increase, using as first language. This trend stood at 50.000 initially, and went up by 100.000 in the final year.
In contras, the other two languages- Italy and Greek- showed falls. They started the period in discussion at approximately 150.000 and 230.000 of people, respectively. While both of these figures had declined by 2011, but Greek language which was spoken by people in Australia was higher than Arabic language end of the period, despite its figure decrease.
