The map below illustrates the transformation of a zoo in Australia between 1960 and now.
In general, it is clear that there are differences in the locations and contructions of the zoo such as arranged locations, additional facilities and replacements.
From 1690 until now, entrances have been added in the back and front of the zoo; and with the replacement of the ferry, the harbour has been relocated to the northwest. The picnic areas along with the gift shop in their right-handed are remained as they were in the 65-year period, but the gift shop has been transformed into a developed one. Between the gift shop and the picnic areas is a new existent of a cable car which didn’t exist in the 1690’s map.
Currently, the Autralian animals’ area, which was in the western of the zoo, is consistanly unchanged as it was in 1960 while the African animals’ field has been moved for the wild animals to replace its original location. In the eastern part of the pathway of the zoo, places for birds and chimpanzees were demolished and replaced by the relocation of the African animals’ area and the seal show.
