The maps illustrate the changes that have been made to a zoo in Australia from 1960 to now.
Overall, there have been extensive changes in terms of transport, commercial, and other facilities, whereas some places such as the picnic area have remained intact.
Two entrances have been built in the area, one in the north and one in the south of the zoo. A ferry has been located next to the entrance on the north and has a straight path to the southern entrance. The harbor, which was initially on the northeastern part of the area has moved to the northwestern side. The area of African animals on the northwestern part has been changed with that of wild animals, while the Australian animals have remained in the same place, to the south of the wild animals and has a path to the seal show and African animals across from it. The sector for the birds has been removed and the seal show which was located beside it has moved slightly to the south, taking the place of chimpanzees that have been removed. The gift shop in the bottom center as been renovated and expanded; meanwhile a cable car has been constructed adjacent to the gift shop. The picnic area, which had three benches, has remained unchanged.
