The map illustrates the transformation of Lakeside Holiday Village as a result of redevelopment. It is clear that more accommodation is now available and the range of tourist facilities has increased.
The map shows that three new cabins have been constructed in 2014 to the east of the previously existing six cabins along the beach. Children can play at a new playground that has been built on the east side of the park. A new picnic area to the south of Aquarius Drive has been added for village guests to relax in after some walking along the nature trails. A pier has been constructed to the east of the swimming area, between the two groups of cabins, old and new. This facilitates boating and fishing in Mirror Lake. The old laundry building that was located between two car parks has been demolished and replaced with a new laundry in a more discreet location, behind Cabins #1 and #2.
Overall, the 2014 redevelopment allows more guests to stay at the resort and their holiday activities are now more varied.
