Overall, the map meticulously illustrates how the various areas of the village are used in the past and present. Primarily, the town is transformed into more developed residential locality with the establishment of new buildings. Moreover, the market facing sea-side is extented with numerous food chains and farmland is modified into a diverse park.

The maps illustrates the conspicuous changes that a small village has undergone in the west of Ireland since 2000 till present date.

Overall, the village has gradually witnessed considerable developments in the quater of a century. Certain additions like a new carpark and housing facilites have been added.

In the year 2000, the east of the village had a farmland at the northeast end which has be converted into a park. The existing housing complexes has doubled in dimensions, whereas the shops located adjacent to the road has managed to remain the same. However, the markets on the south side has been converted and expanded into restaurents alonside the waterbody; additionally, the dock was demolished with no new reconstructions.

Over the west side of the main road new housing facilities have been added at the northwestern corner and a carpark was introduced next to the hotel. Lastly, the hotel remained unchanged.
