In general, the two images side by side depict by illustrating the difference in landscaping in 2000 compared to present day in a quaint village to the west of Ireland. Overall, the village has undergone significant development in housing, alongside new constructions and changes to the farmland.
The farmland in the north-west area seems to be converted into a park, filled with different varieties of lush trees. Additionally, the amount of accommodation increased substantially from four to ten on the left western side of the central road, and three more housing residences were implemented on the right eastern side. Moreover, the hotel is situated in the same area, but a large, new carpark has been constructed close to the housing.
Similarly, the market occupying two areas from 2000 has been replaced with four blocks of restaurants along the same area. There is no longer a dock nestled in the water facing the market, and instead, it has been torn down. In contrast, there is no visible difference in the amount and location of the four shops, positioned close to the residence areas.
