Band 8: the map shows future developments in the office. Write an ecademic report (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The floor plan illustrates the transformation of an office building from its current state and its renovation in the future.

Overall, the office building will be renovated, with the most notable changes including the relocation of entrances, the removal of green spaces, and the addition of facilities such as a meeting area and a coffee machine.

Looking first at the bottom of the layout, there are four adjoining offices, and in the future, they will be merged into two larger ones, while the entrance will be relocated in the middle of these rooms instead of being put on the right of the offices. Turning to the opposite side, the kitchen and canteen today are planned to be transformed into offices, whereas there will be no alteration in the position of the storeroom.

Turning to the grass areas on the left and right sides, while the former will be changed into a seating area outdoors, the latter will be renovated into a meeting area; both of which are equipped with chairs, and the entrance on the left-hand side will remain unaltered. On the top right corner, a water closet will be rearranged with a new coffee machine installed nearby.
