The two maps describe the present layout of an office building and plans for its future redevelopment.
Overall, it can be seen that grass areas and certain rooms, such as the kitchen and canteen, will be removed completely in the future to optimize space and functionality. Moreover, there will be some changes to the building’s structure and allocation of space.
Recently, there is a row of four narrow offices located in the southern part of the center while its opposite sides house a kitchen, canteen and a storeroom, arranged sequentially from left to right. Additionally, a small restroom is situated in the northeast corner near the stockroom. On the east and west sides of the building, expansive grass areas run parallel to the main structure, providing open green spaces. Finally, the reception is placed between the offices and grass areas.
Regarding the future office building, the reception area will be relocated leftwards to the center of the southern side and expanded significantly. The four narrow offices will be replaced with two wider horizontal rectangle offices. Opposite the reception, the kitchen and canteen will be removed, making way for two new offices. Although the stockroom will remain in the same location, the toilet will be removed to the right corner, adjacent to the new coffee machine area. To the west, the outdoor setting area will open up with many chairs for people to relax. Meanwhile, there will be a meeting area and chairs set up for formal and important meetings.
