The provided maps give information about the changes of the town located in Harborne between 1936 and 2007. Overall, there are remarkable differences in the layout of this town contributed by the emergence of some new facilities, namely supermarket, museum, golf course. In addition, a residential area was built as the big changes.
First, three trees, which were located in the north-western of the town in 1936, now had been torn down to just one tree for more space in 2007. Meanwhile a small cycle path was improved to the road with better infrastructure. On the other hand, there are some places that still remain unchanged during the innovation, such as post office, bank, and library. Flower shop was altered by the travel agents.
Regarding the appearances of some new spots which were equipped to meet people’s needs. On the right corner of the town, there had been a river passing through the map in 1936, but in 2007, this was replaced by the areas for residentials purposes. In the central areas, the combination of sweet shops and butchers created the new supermarket and the added shopping center situated opposite the post office. The left bottom golf course was developed from the grazing places in 2007. Next to this was Government offices, which was superseded to have space for a museum.
