The construction of the centre of a small town called Islip and its future plans for developnent are revealed in the maps below. There are multiple changes that have been arranged to appeal.
Overal, it can be seen that the main road is rebuilt into the dual carriageway that surrounds the entire centre. Moreorer, there are several changes that planned on the north side, such as increasing number of facilities and adding some extra accommodations.
First of all, shops were located on the both North and South sides of the main road. But in the future developments these areas are going to be divided into 4 parts. Instead of having different shops the north, which occupied all the space, it will all be transferred into one big shopping centre. Also, on the west side of the shopping centre, there is going to be a bus station, and to the east, a car park. In addition, the free space will be used for a new housing area in the northeast.
Secondly, the main road will be for pedestrians only, and the rest will be transformed into a dual carriage for now. Besides that, housing zone will move to the western part creating space for a new housing zone. Furthermore, it is already arranged that the park will be much more smaller than it is now. However, school on the other side will expand a little.
