The maps illustrate some changes to a town after the construction of a hydroelectric power dam between the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the town experienced considerable changes during the period shown. The most noticeable differences between two maps are the addition of lake and hydroelectric power dam and natural landscapes are replaced by man-made structures.
Looking first at the river and its west side. In 1990, there was a mountain in the northeast of the map, connecting to a river, opposite the mountain was a forest in the northwest. Following downstream of the river, there were ancient structure and the area of rare animals and plants. After 20 years, this forest and ancient structure turned into a lake and a hydroelectric dam. Similarly, the area of rare animals and plants was also replaced by the constructions related to that dam.
Moving to the river and its east side. In 2000, there was a big irrigated farmlands under the mountain and a villages located in its south. However, in 2010, after the lake was added, the irrigated farmlands was changed by hotel while the villages remained intact.
