By 1950, Langley had been significantly modernised. The most notable change is Sherman Mansions. It built instead of factory and Sherman Street had been extended. Moreover, laundry and cafe moved into wasteland. Another wasteland had converted recreational area where are Sherman Park and children area, the store’s number had been became more. Additionally, residential territory of Gordon Street constructed flats. These developments suggest a shift towards accommodating a growing and aging population.
