The two diagrams illustrate the changes/development that occurred in the village of Stokeford between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, the village had many significant changes and a development towards urbanization. More and more houses were constructed in the year 2010 while much of the land in that area was dedicated to farmland nearly a century ago.
As can be seen from the north of the map, the bridge stayed intact while the road system extended and became more complicated, surrounded by housing estates over the course of eighty years. Moreover, the farmlands in 1930 was demolished and replaced by residential areas in the northeastern and southwestern of the maps.
Furthermore, many houses were built in place of the shops in the middle of the village. Next to the new houses in 2010, the post office was unchanged while the primary school was opposite it had undergone enormous expansion.
A portion of the garden in the southeast decreased in size, making space for new housings while the rest was allocated for the construction of a retirement home in 2010, replacing the large house in 1930.
