The maps give information about Stokeford as it was in 1930 and how it looked in 2010.
Overall, there will be many changes made to Stokeford. Among them, the most significant will be the expansion of residential areas and the construction of a roundabout.
Looking at the western part of Stokeford, the main road ran through the middle of it from south to north, with a bridge located further north and a post office on the east side, which remained unchanged in the next 80 years. Additionally, farmland was located along the entire southern side, while there were two shops on the northeast side. According to the proposed plans, they were cleared to facilitate the addition of housing, increasing to 26 houses, and the roundabout and a new road branch to the left were being built.
Regarding the remaining part of Stokeford, there was another farmland situated on the north side, which was also removed to make way for another new road branch separating into two parts, with 4 houses placed on each side in the future. In addition, a primary school was located along the main road, while there was a large house with gardens behind it. According to the proposed plans, the former were expanded, with the addition of two houses; however, the latter will be made smaller, and converted into a retirement home.
