The maps depict a comparative study on the structural development and transformation of village of Stoke ford in 1930 and in 2010.
Overall, it is conspicuous that a village has became modernized with the addition of infrastructure and accomodation in those periods.
Concerning Stoke ford in 1930, it was mainly occupied by farmland at north-east and south-west. In the middle of the village, there was a main road which passed across the River Stroke. Indeed, houses were located on both sides of main road towards north. Beside this, large house lied towards the east which have gardena infront of it. For buying goods, there were shops beside the main road at west. Furthermore, Post office was located next to the shops. For education purpose, there was a primary school near the shops and post office but just opposite in side.
In regards to Stoke ford after 8 decades, there were remarkable changes especially in accomodation and infrastructure. There was a ring road infront of the side road, leading towards retirement home at the east of the village. Houses were constructed on either side of main road as well as in three side roads. In addition, the structure of primary school has been extended. Despite of having major changes in the village, post office, river stroke and bridge had no change over 80 years.
