The two diagrams show the floor plan of public library 20years ago and now. The main change that can be seen when comparing the two plans are, in modern plan there are space allocated for computers and self-service machines. This shows this library has upgraded to cater the modern society.
When considering the changes that happened to existing sections which were there 20years back “children’s books “which was situated on the right top corner of the floor plan has been moved to top left corner and “adult fiction books “has been moved to middle right of the new plan. The CD, video and computer games room has shifted from top right corner to below corner of the same side. self-service machines and information desk has moved to left middle section instead of the old inquiry desk which was there, on right hand side of the entrance of the old floor plan. The tables and chairs which was there in the middle of the floor plan before, has moved to top left corner by adding more comfortable sofas, instead old tables and chairs.
