The two blueprints provided the development that has taken in Central Library from the 20 years ago until today with labels and pictures. Both maps include places to sit and read.

Overall, it is evident that the library has been converted from silent reading place to a more social place with many communicative places where people can talk.

At first glance, it is clear that the tables and chairs were removed from centre and instead there are sofas at the storytelling events at the top left of the map. CDs, videos, computer games room were expanded, so children’s books can fit. Adult fiction book went to the right side of the library, instead there is now all reference books and reading room were replaced by computer room.

The children’s books which were at the right side of the library went to the left, instead there is lecture room. Adult non-fiction books were replaced by adult fiction books, information desk and self-service machines. Enquiry desk were replaced by cafe.
