The given bar chart illustrates the number of scholars who participated in different types of sporting events and the pie diagram compares the proportion of students who attended the event from those who didn’t.
Overall, it is quite evident that majority of the students didn’t go to the events and football was the most preferred sport among boys whereas, tennis was more popular among girls. The data has been collected from a survey conducted among five hundred students.
Moving towards the detailed analysis, it can be observed that about one-fifth of the total students went to the events and the remaining students (80%) decided not to attend any of the events. Categorically discussing, football was the most favourable sport among males as they attended roughly 33 events while it was the least preferred among girls. Contrastingly, girls went to approximately 25 tennis events and the corresponding number for boys was the lowest.
Scrutinizing the performance of other 2 games namely, badminton, and basketball, it can be manifested that male students appeared in around 6 badminton games and for females, this figure was almost half than that of their male counterparts. Moreover, the data for boys and girls going to basketball events was at par with each other.
