The illustration demonstrated the percentage of 3 types of crimes include care theft, house burglary and street robbery in England and Wales between 1970 and 2015.
Overall, the proportion of people thieving car, burgling house and rob public properties in street were tend to change rapidly and remained this unstable trend from 1970 to 2000, especially was about street’s robbery that had fluctuated with surprisingly speed for 30 years.
First of all, the percentage of car theft was precisely 0.4% starting in 1970 and after 5 years, it went up directly to 0.8 %. The rate of people thieving car surged to reach the peak at accurately 1.4% in 1985, which seem to be a warning rate of criminal in Japan. However, this emergency’s percentage absolutely decreased to around 0.8% after 15 years. Secondly, the proportion of house burglary was around 0.3% from the beginning and gradually grew up to reach 0.6% in the next 20 years, which was the highest point of burglar appearance in Japan. But good sign is that this ratio had gone down slowly to over 0.4% in 10 years later.
Finally, the proportion of street robbery in Japan had changed rapidly each year since 1970 (from about 0.1%). Furthermore, the ratio of robbing street fluctuated among 0.1% and nearly 0.2% over the past 30 years.
