The image shows a labeled diagram of a hot air balloon with two sections: left section is a full labeled diagram of a hot air balloon; the right section explains the mechanism of how hot air and cool air work with arrows. The left diagram labels, from top to bottom, are Parachute valve, Goers, Envelope, Panels, Skirt, Burner, Rope, Basket, and Propane cylinder. The right section contains two balloons showing the different states of air inside, labeled Hot air (light) at the top and Cool air (heavy) at the bottom, with an explanatory note stating "mix propane with air to produce flame to make hot air." The arrow indicates the upward movement of the hot air.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The figure illustrates how hot balloons function. It can be seen that in order for the balloon to fly it must heat air. Hot air balloons consist of three main parts which are the envelope, ropes and a basket.
the upper part of the balloon contains panels, gores and a skirt. In the middle of the balloon there is a parachute valve which is designed with a self-sealing flap to control the amount of hot air. At the bottom of the parachute, the ropes are responsible for connecting both the upper and bottom parts of the balloon by connecting the skirt and the basket together.
looking at the bottom part of the balloon we can see that it has a burner, propane cylinder and a basket for people to get in. The hot air is produced by mixing propane with air to make flames using the burner, this process will heat the air and then lift the balloon of the ground .
