Meanwhile, industrial and business use, witnessing a far lower volume, accounted for 11% and 10%, respectively. At the lower end of the scale, government and other purposes showcased the smallest proportions of water consumption over the surveyed year.
Moving specifically on to residential water consumption, the water demand of the garden was highest, at 28%, which was followed by the bathroom, accounting for 27%. The use of washing clothes was twice as much as that of the kitchen, constituting 20% and 10%, respectively. Finally, toilet use required a considerable 15%, ranking as the third-largest category.
