The pie chart compares power production from five different sources in a given country in the years 1995 and 2005. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that energy generation from almost all sources increased to different extents, except for petrol, which declined significantly. Coal and gas were major sources for power generation in both years, followed by petrol, nuclear and lastly, other sources.
In 1995, production of coal and gas were similar, about 29%. By 2005, all figures increased moderately to 30%, whereas petrol exploitation declined to represent from 29% to just 19% respectively.
The information for the remaining cumulative figures was substantially lower, generating energy of nuclear was noticeably higher at 6.4%, than ‘other’ at 4.9%. By 2005, both, ‘other’ and nuclear production rose to varying degrees, and ‘other’ nearly doubled to 9.1% as nuclear energy production grew more slowly to reach 10.1%.
