The charts depict the information about water usage in San Diego, California and the world as a whole. Overall, it can be clearly seen that residents in two cities used much higher percentage of water, while its agricultural use was dominant in worldwide.
In both San Diego and California, residential water consumption took a main part of total water usage, showing 60% and 39% respectively. By contrast, merely 8% of water used for local people in the world. The opposite trend can be seen in agriculture sector. Tis accounts for a massive 69% of global water use, but only 17% and 28% of water usage in San Diego and California.
Such dramatic differences are not seen when we compare the figures for industrial water use. The similar proportions of water (23%) is used by industry in San Diego and worldwide, although the figure for California is 10% higher, at 33%.
