The pie graph illustrates the amount of spending every month by learners in the UK in 2016 while the bar graph provides data on the student income sources during the same period of time.
Overall, students spent nearly half of their income on rent , whereas other proportions such as food, socialization ,travel ,bills and other needs were less significant .On the other hand, student lone , family financial support and working in a part-time job were the top sources of income used by students.
The most significant feature was the high monthly rent in UK at 358 pounds which is double the food expenses .Furthermore, students paid the least amount on travel at 52 pounds and nearly equal amount of money for bills and social events at around 65 pounds, while other category had a larger share at 91 pounds.
Additionally, the data shows the most common mean of income was student loan at slightly more than 80% .However, less than 50% of students used savings, bank overdraft ,grants and funding as a source of income in UK.
