The pie charts illustrate the population in Oman and Spain in 2005 and the projections for 2055/ Within the population, two groups were used: 0-14 years and 15-59 years. The two sets of populations have been represented using two color codes: blue for the 0-14 years and red for the 15-59 years.
In the year 2005, Oman is seen to have 48% of the 0-14 years of the population while the 15-58 are 4%of the population. This represents a very small percentage of the population. In the 2055 projections, we see a decline in 0-14 years population to 37% while the 15-59 years is projected to increase by 2% to 6% of the population.
In Spain, in the year 2005, the 0-14 years group is at 14% and the 15-59 year group is at 24%. In the 2055projection, a decrease is seen in the 0-14 years to 12% while the 15-59 almost doubling at 42%.
In both countries we see the age group 15-59 years is expected to increase through the years.
