Overall, it is clear that aircraft parts made up the highest proportion exported from the US to Vietnam, whereas coffee was the largest export from Vietnam to the US. Conversely, cars made up the smallest ratio of US exports, while garments accounted for the lowest share of Vietnamese exports.
With regard to exports from Vietnam to the US, coffee represented the most significant trade product, valued at $23 million. Fruit and vegetables constituted the second-largest category, accounting for $16 million of the total export revenue. In contrast, the financial values for seafood and rice were considerably lower, standing at $4.4 million and $4.3 million respectively. Finally, garments and miscellaneous other items made up the smallest portions of Vietnamese exports, valued at an identical $2 million each.
In contrast, the export from the US to Vietnam was heavily dominated by aircraft parts, which reached a substantial value of $72 million. Machinery was the second most significant export at $30.5 million, followed closely by fertilizer at $16.5 million. Furthermore, cotton exports generated $12 million in revenue, which was double the amount recorded for cars at just $6 million. Finally, unclassified other items accounted for $35 million of the total US export value.
