The pie charts compare the data on how hazardous products are treated in three countries, namely the Republic of Korea, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Overall, it is clear that the UK uses four types of treatment, with the exception of recycling. Meanwhile, Korea and Sweden both have only three, which are recycling, underground, and incineration.
Looking at the details, the majority of handling dangerous waste in the UK is done underground, accounting for 82%, the figure is also the biggest percentage compared to other countries. In addition, the proportion for chemical treatment and dumping at sea, both stand at 8%. The least 2%, the trash is treated by destroying by fire.
Regarding the two countries, Sweden and Korea, both use the same methods. In Korea, underground methods are used slightly more than one-fifth; likewise, sweden represent two fold for the treatment of dangerous waste, with around 55%. The recycling the most common in the Republic of Korea, with records 69% and a quarter for Sweden, respectively. Therefore, destroy waste by fire (incineration) experiences only 9% and 20% in the Republic of Korea and Sweden, respectively.
