Nowadays the topic of average household expenditures appears in a great discussion. I have found two pie charts containing relevant data on household expenditures in Japan and Malaysia in 2010. I am going to analyze it and present my conclusions.
The largest parts of expenditures in Japan appear to be food (at 24%) and other goods not mentioned particularly (at 29%). Other following statements are housing and transport that are not extremely different from the biggesst ones as their percentage stays near 20 percent. The surprising factor was the health care’s percentage at the lowest of 6%.
By contrast, the most popular and widespread category in Malasya is housing which is 13 percent more than in Japan, while other goods and services are almost at the same level (26% in Malasya). After that food factor (27%) and transport are leading. Additionally, the smallest expenditure is health care that is slightly lower than in Japan (only at its 3%).
To summarize, both countries have one similarity, that is expenditure on health care. Moreover, the general priorities as, for instance, food and additional goods and services are almost the same.
