The pie charts illustrate the comparison of different kinds of energy production in France in 1995 and 2005.
It is clear that the percentage of energy production by coal, gas, nuclear, and others went up, while the amount of energy produced by petrol went down. Also, the proportion of energy production by coal stood at the top, and others stood at the bottom.
In 1995, Coal had the highest energy production with 29.8%, while both gas and petrol were lower than at 29.63% and 29.27%, respectively. In 2005, the proportion of energy production by coal and gas increased, on the contrary, petrol decreased by 19.55%. At the end of the period, the percentage of energy production by coal reached the top.
Meanwhile, in 1995, the percentage of energy production by nuclear and other was below 10%. However, during the following 10 years, nuclear production had reached 10%, and others had yet to reach and were less than nuclear 1%. Others fell to the bottom in 2005.
