The pie charts demonstrate the proportion of 5 distinct reasons for delayed flights in a specific Asian country in 2015 and 2016. Overall, the main reason was related to airline operations management, while airport security and military factors were the minor elements in both years. Moreover, airport security and air traffic control had the biggest change in percentage.
The highest rate in both years belonged to management of airline operations at 40%, and this figure showed a 6% increase, reaching the zenith of 46% of total reasons. It was followed by bad weather conditions that took part as the second biggest problem at 21% and 23%, respectively. Furthermore, although air traffic control was the lowest group in 2015, it rose sharply from 4% in 2015 to 13% in 2016, which was the biggest increase.
The rest of the countries revealed a decrease. Air traffic control has experienced the largest drop rate by 13% and it replaced the second smallest reason, at 12% one year later. It was observed that the least delayed flight was seen in military factors at 10% and 6%.
