The demonstrated charts illustrate the proportion of expenditure spent on five domains, namely savings, housing, entertainment, food, and transport across a 20 year period, from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, housing was the only category that had an increase in income in the final year (2020). Contrastly, entertainment, food, and transport had a decline in figures.
In detail, the expenditure on savings remained constant at a value of 10% in both years. In the initial year (2000), food dominated the chart, marking the highest category but, it was reduced by halve in 2020. The money spent on the transportation sector was reduced by 5%, resulting in 15% in 2020 from 20% in 2000.
Furthermore, It is observed that housing which initially accounted for 20% in 2000, had a significant increase to 35% thereby, represented the highest category after 20 years. Entertainment had a slight reduction in the amount of money distributed from 15% to 13% from 2000 to 2020 respectively.
