In Australia, over a half of the population primarily read news online, while Canadians allocated just 36% for this category. In terms of television, the figures for Canada and Australia were quite similar, at 40% and 37%, respectively.
Regarding the remaining features, printed newspapers in Canada accounted for 14%, twice as much as the figure for Australia. The proportions of people reaching news through radio and unspecified sources were the lowest in both countries, with under 10% each.
