The pie charts show the use of water in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia.
Overall, Africa, Central Asia, South America and South East Asia have the biggest shares of water spent on agriculture, while Europe and North America spent the most on industry necessarities. Domestic use was the least common category among all.
Africa, Central Asia, South America and South East Asia spent the source of water accounted at roughly 80%, being the most popular use. Meanwhile, the industrial expenditure on water in South East Asia and South America was approxiametly 11%, in Central Asia and Africa it was 5% and 7% respectively. Water spent domestic use was around 7% in Central Asia, Africa and South East Asia, while in South America it was accounted at 19%.
In contrast, in North America and Europe the shares of industrial use were the largest(48% and 53%). It can be seen that the proportions of domestic use were about 14%, while the percentages of agricultural use were roughly 35%.
