Overall, in both years, the most significant sources of energy were gas and coal, which together covering over half the production of energy, while nuclear and other kinds of energy sources are being the least amount of energy produced in france. In all types of energy production there wad only minimal change over the period of 10 years.
Energy produced by coal in 1995 was 29.80% and this showed only a very slight increase merely 1% to 30.93% in 2005. Likewise, in 1995, the gas produced 29.63% which rose to just 30.31% 10 years later.
With regards to the remaining energy sources, there was an approximately 5% difference in production of nuclear power and other sources as 6.40% to 10.10% and 4.90% to 9.10% respectively. Petrol, on the other hand, was the only energy source which decreased in production from 29.27% to 19.55 % in the given 10 years.
