The pie diagram describes the total percentage of citizens in Canada who speaks three different languages mainly, non- official language, English and French in the years 1996,2006 and 2016.
Overall, the proportion of people speaking non-official language increased throughout the year, while the other two experienced a slight decrease in its number. However, English was the most commonly used language than others.
To begin with,in 1996,60% of native speakers in Canada used English for communication,which declined to 58% in 2006 and further to 57% in 2016. Similarly, 23% of citizens used French for speaking at the beginning of 1996. But, in 2006, the number steeped down to 22% and im in 2016 it became the least percentage of speakers with a total of 21%.
On the other hand, non- official language speakers were the lowest in 1996 ,which grew dramatically over the years from 17% to 20% in 2006 and to 22% in 2016 making it into the second most common speakers in Canada.
