The two pie charts compare the nutritional composition of a medium baked potato and macaroni in terms of carbohydrates, protein, glucose, saturated fat and other nutrients.
Overall, carbohydrates account for the largest proportion in both foods, particularly in macaroni. By contrast, a baked potato contains higher percentages of protein, glucose and other nutrients than macaroni, while macaroni has a considerably greater amount of saturated fat.
Looking first at the medium baked potato, carbohydrates make up 35% of its nutritional content, followed by protein at 25%. Glucose and other nutrients each represent 15%, whereas saturated fat is the smallest component, accounting for only 10%.
In comparison, macaroni is dominated by carbohydrates, which constitute 52%, over half of its total nutrients. Both protein and glucose contribute 11% each, significantly lower than the figures for the baked potato. Meanwhile, saturated fat accounts for 21%, more than double the proportion found in the potato. Finally, other nutrients make up just 5%, the lowest percentage among all the categories.
