The two maps illustrate the significant transformation made to a school between 1985 and the present, reflecting a notable expansion in infrastructural amenities to accommodate a growing student population.
Overall, the school has retained its location next to the main road, with an entrance, an exit, and a car park, but its layout has undergone considerable changes. While some structures, such as the school office, remain unchanged, others have been replaced, expanded, or newly added to meet the needs of an increased population from 1,500 to 2,300 attendants.
One striking change is the redesign of the car park, which has shifted from a square shape surrounded by a path to a semi-circular layout. Additionally, a smaller car park that existed in 1985 has been removed, establishing spacious plots for other facilities. On the left side, the former library was replaced by a modern learning resources centre with a computer room inside. Similarly, the small interconnection road between the car park and the playing fields was demolished, with the fields themselves reduced in size.
Taking a glance at the central parts of the maps, the classroom blocks have also been significantly upgraded. While the original two-storey building has been expanded into a three-storey one, an additional classroom block was constructed to the right. Furthermore, the area previously occupied by the playing fields now prioritises a swimming pool and a fitness centre, which have consolidated a recreational dimension to the school’s infrastructure.
