The given blueprints compare the layouts of the Bookstore from 24 years prior and the current layout.
Overall, most categories of books were repositioned in the latest map while books related to Fiction and Non-Fiction had taken more space in the previous map. Moreover, the addition of some tables and chairs to accommodate the newly opened cafe counter had taken place in recent plans.
During 2000, the works of Fiction had taken up an entire left side and the top-left corner of the Bookstore. Additionally, the Non-Fiction category was situated the entire half of the right side while a service desk was built near the main door. The middle of the Library had three shelves to accommodate works related to Cookery, Leisure Activities and Art. Moreover, two shelves dedicated for Travel related magazines and newly published literature works were built near the main entrance.
However, a renovation was issued for the construction of a cafe counter on the top right side and some tables and chairs situated in the middle. Therefore, books related to Non-Fiction were allocated to the top-left corner of the Bookstore whereas the remaining categories of books were placed on the bottom-left corner. The works of Fiction have taken less space than previously while the shelves used for travel books have seen an expansion. Interestingly, the Bookstore’s service desk and the area dedicated for recently published novels remained similar throughout the renovation.
