The two pictures illustate the Grande park in its first establishment (1920) and in recent times.
Overall, the Grande park has gone through different big changes, with the most significant are the removal fountain in the heart of the park and exponsion the scene for musicians’ performace. Moreover, the addition of the underground entrance for parking vehicles is another notable imorovment.
In 1920, the public area was accesseble from two streets, namely Arnold in the north and Eldon in the south sides. A fountain could be seen in the centre of the park which later has witnessed removal and has been added rose garden with seats around. To the left-hand part, there was stage for musicians and seats converted into amphitheatre accomodating more spectators. The rose gardens situated at the top and bottom sides, only one of them has remained untouched next to the amphitheatre.
As for the right-hand, new cafe zone has been introduced where the rose garden once stood. Not far from it, pond for watering plants has been converted into playground for children. While the old glasshouse in the south-eastern has seen demolished to make water feature. Finally, there has been laid underground parking area for peolpe with private transports.
